Day 1: Lima

Day 2: Paracas & Huacachina

• Adventurer: Visit the Ballestas Islands from Paracas via speedboat followed by exhilarating sand boarding & dune buggy outing atop mountains of sand in Huacachina

• Cultural: Visit the Ballestas Islands from Paracas via speedboat followed by a Peruvian pisco wine tasting and tour in Ica. 

• Explorer: Visit the Ballestas Islands from Paracas via speedboat followed by (select one):

• Bucket List Highlight: Experience Peru's version of the Galapagos to experience a diversity of plants and animals not found anywhere else on the planet.

Day 3: Cusco

• Adventurer: Guided full day ATV and hiking tour of Peru's iconic Rainbow Mountain

• Cultural: walk the historic city center at 11,152 feet above sea level while exploring historic cathedrals and ruins, visiting the iconic San Blas barrio, hand making your own chocolate at Choco Museo, scoping for souvenirs at San Pedro Market, and viewing billions of stars from a professional telescope at the Cusco Planetarium. Taste Peru's famous and culturally significant dish Cuy for dinner, and if you still have energy left - discover how to make pisco sours by hand at Cusco's Pisco museum before bed. 

• Explorer: Your choice of either full-day itinerary from Adventurer or Cultural tracks - see above 

• Bucket List Highlight: Set your eyes on the iconic Rainbow Mountains of the Peruvian Andes or over 1 billion stars from a professional telescope.

• Unique Accommodation: recharge at a Peruvian mansion built on the ruins of an original Inca fortress enhanced by the charming presence of resident alpacas. A prime hilltop location provides stunning, panoramic views of Cusco and the Plaza de Armas.

Day 4: Ollantaytambo

• Adventurer: Whitewater class II or III rafting in the Urubamba River

• Cultural: ATV tour of Moray & the Maras Salt Mines followed by an immersive fine dining and farming experience  lunch at Mil Centro. After lunch enjoy leisurely exploring the Ollantaytambo Sanctuary. 

• Explorer: Your choice of either half-day itinerary from Adventurer or Cultural tracks - see above

• Bucket List Highlight: undertake a thrilling ascent from via ferrata climb to a suspended wire bridge, offering incredible panoramic views, follwed by an exhilarating exit via zip line. Mountain climb and sleep under a billion stars in a glass pod hanging from the side of mountain 9,500 ft from base camp. Mountainside hot tub and gourmet dining included.

Day 5: Machu Picchu

• Adventurer: Board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes and head to the back car for an open air view of mountains turned jungle. Then explore an expedited Inca-style trek to Machu Picchu climbing 1,600 historic built steps ascending through the dense tropical forest. Test your bravery by exploring one of the following adrenaline hikes at Machu Picchu (select one):

Then take an expedited yet thrilling bus ride winding and ascending through the dense jungle to Machu Picchu. Test your history knowledge by exploring the classic viewpoint plus one of the following cultural sites at Machu Picchu (select one):

  • Lower Ruins (year-round: easy)

  • Temple of the Moon (seasonal: easy)
